Welcome to GoaFYI (“GoaFYI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). GoaFYI is an event ecosystem and digital platform that connects users (“Clients”) with verified event service providers (“Vendors”) in Goa across more than 30 categories — including photography, catering, venues, décor, entertainment, and more. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information shared with us by vendors, clients, and visitors. By using our platform, you agree to the practices outlined here.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

  • Vendors: Individuals or businesses listing their event services on GoaFYI.
  • Clients: Users browsing, contacting, or booking vendors through the platform.
  • Visitors: Anyone accessing GoaFYI without registration.
  • Partners or Advertisers: Any third parties engaged for promotion or technical purposes.

3. Information We Collect

A. Vendor Information (Public and Fully Controlled by the Vendor)

When a vendor lists their business on GoaFYI, they provide details that are displayed publicly so clients can discover and contact them. Vendors have complete control over what appears on their profile.

Vendor-provided data may include:

  • Business name and owner name
  • Category of service (e.g., Photographer, Caterer, Venue, etc.)
  • Phone number and WhatsApp contact
  • Email address
  • Instagram link, website link, or other social media handles
  • Location (vendors may choose to display their full or partial location)
  • Packages, pricing, and availability details
  • Profile images, descriptions, and promotional content

All of this information is submitted voluntarily by vendors and published only with their consent. From their personal dashboard, vendors can:

  • Add, edit, or delete any details (name, contact, links, pricing, etc.)
  • Choose to show or hide packages, pricing, and calendar availability
  • Disable or permanently delete their listing at any time

GoaFYI only displays what vendors choose to make public and does not alter, sell, or share vendor data beyond its display on the platform.

B. Client Information (Collected Only for Booking Requests)

Clients can browse GoaFYI freely without creating an account. We do not automatically collect any technical or device data. Information from a client is collected only when they send a booking request to a specific vendor. At that point, clients may provide:

  • Name (required for authenticity)
  • Phone number
  • Event date and time
  • Service requested
  • Venue or event location (may be full or partial as per their choice)

This information is sent directly to the selected vendor only and is not visible to anyone else. Clients retain full control over what details they provide. GoaFYI does not track, store, or share client data for advertising or analytics purposes.

C. Automatic and Technical Data

GoaFYI does not collect any technical or automatic data such as device details, browser type, IP address, cookies, or page visits. We maintain a basic sitemap only for SEO purposes — this does not store or track user information.

4. How We Use the Information

  • Display vendor listings publicly on GoaFYI, similar to how marketplaces display products
  • Facilitate direct booking requests between clients and vendors
  • Maintain secure dashboards for vendors to manage their data and receipts
  • Send basic verification or service-related notifications (e.g., email verification codes)

GoaFYI does not use any user or vendor data for advertising, profiling, or automated analytics.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We share information only when necessary:

  • Between Clients and Vendors: to enable direct communication and bookings.
  • With Service Providers: for basic hosting and maintenance support.
  • For Legal Reasons: if required by law or government authority.
  • During Business Transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale.

We do not sell or distribute any personal information to third parties.

6. Payment and Subscription Details

  • All payments are handled offline between vendors and clients.
  • GoaFYI does not process, store, or manage any digital payments.
  • Vendors pay a one-year offline subscription to be listed on the platform.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable once a profile is listed.

Receipts

  • Vendors can generate receipts through their dashboards (e.g., advance amount paid, pending balance).
  • These receipts are shared only with the specific client involved in the transaction.
  • Receipts are stored privately in the vendor’s dashboard — no other user or client can view them.
  • No cash or digital transfer occurs on the platform; it serves purely as a record-keeping dashboard.

7. Vendor Responsibilities

  • Vendors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their listing information.
  • Vendors with official registrations or licenses (e.g., MSME, catering, bar permits) may display them for added credibility.
  • Vendors without such registrations (e.g., hosts, MCs, performers) can also be listed.
  • GoaFYI is not liable for unlicensed, inaccurate, or unverified vendor operations if the vendor has not provided such information.
  • GoaFYI is a facilitator that provides a platform for vendors to list their services, not products.

8. Data Retention

  • Data is retained only as long as needed for its purpose.
  • When vendors withdraw or subscriptions expire, their listings and associated data are deleted.
  • Clients can request deletion of their information at any time.

9. Data Security

  • Vendor dashboards are secured through email verification and encrypted passwords.
  • GoaFYI does not access vendor passwords or private booking records.
  • Our platform uses secure cloud infrastructure, though no online system is entirely risk-free.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

GoaFYI does not use cookies, trackers, or analytics to monitor user activity. Our sitemap is purely for SEO visibility and does not log any personal information.

11. User Rights

All users (vendors and clients) have the right to:

  • Access or update their information
  • Delete their profile or data
  • Withdraw consent for displaying information
  • Request removal from promotions or listings

12. Children’s Privacy

GoaFYI is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect or store data from minors.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

GoaFYI may include links to vendor websites, Instagram pages, or WhatsApp numbers. These links are provided by vendors and are publicly visible. GoaFYI is not responsible if a vendor later changes or misuses their link.

If a vendor modifies their link to contain inappropriate or illegal content, GoaFYI reserves the right to report such cases to relevant authorities or remove the listing entirely.

14. Limitation of Liability

GoaFYI acts solely as a facilitator connecting clients with vendors. We do not own, manage, or control vendor operations or service outcomes. All discussions, transactions, and agreements occur directly between clients and vendors. GoaFYI shall not be held liable for any disputes, delays, cancellations, losses, or damages arising from interactions or agreements between clients and vendors.

15. International Users

Our platform is operated from India. By using GoaFYI, you consent to the processing of data under Indian data protection laws.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

All matters arising from this policy are governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Goa.

17. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The updated version will always be available on this page with the latest “Last Updated” date.
